Light Test for SFU Continuing Studies Creative Campaign

Here’s a light-test from a recent shoot I did for Simon Fraser University.

SFU Continuing Studies - light test

It’s part of a creative campaign I’m working on for SFU Continuing Studies.  The slogan for this particular shoot is “Think Author” — the photos will be used to promote the university’s creative writing programs.  Like us on Facebook to see more behind the scenes shots from this campaign!  www.facebook.com/fabrice.grover.photo

SFU Continuing Studies Campaign – Catalog Cover

SFU Continuing Education Catalog Cover

Simon Fraser University has commissioned me to shoot their Continuing Studies 2012 Creative Campaign.  We will be doing 12 to 15 shoots over the course of the summer — we shot the cover for SFU’s catalog on Kitsilano beach.  Art direction and design by Chanda Stallman.  Model: Gurjinder Basran, author of Everything Was Good-bye [Penguin 2012] and a graduate of SFU’s The Writer’s Studio.  Assistance from Amy Robertson, Marketing and Communications Coordinator at SFU.  The catalog was mailed out last week and is available at libraries and skytrain stations across Metro Vancouver.

Lauren Johnson – LTJ Psychotherapist

Lauren Johnson hired me to shoot images and video for her new website. Lauren is a Vancouver psychotherapist who takes a candid approach to her counselling. Our aim with this shoot was to capture some of her warmth and quirky personality. We also wanted to create images that reflect her creative edge — encouraging clients to express their creativity is an important part of her counselling practice.

Thanks for the fun shoot, Lauren!

I’m enjoying all the corporate shoots around town this month — it’s a nice way to reacclimatize to Vancouver after a month in Kenya.  Pictured first is Ben Chimes, Vancouver real-estate agent with Re/max Select Properties (Westside, Platinum Club). Next is Ginnie Schuster Cramer, a clinical psycotherapist here in Vancouver. Locations:  Downtown, Gastown, and Jericho, in the spring rain.  Happy Easter everyone!

Amiel Gladstone – Headshot

Amiel Gladstone, director of Lucia De Lammermoor

Amiel Gladstone is directing Lucia De Lammermoor at Vancouver Opera — he needed a new headshot.  His production of Lucia de Lammermoor is amazing and is getting rave reviews from the critics.  The Georgia Straight did a feature on Ami and used another photo from our shoot together.
